Programs

Monterey Waterkeeper combines education, science-based policy advocacy, and legal action to ensure that all communities have safe and affordable drinking water and enjoy clean, swimmable, and fishable waters.

See the announcements page for additional information.

We work to prevent and reduce nitrate and pesticide pollution in the Central Coast’s groundwater, i.e. drinking water, by ensuring strong local and statewide water quality protection policies, while promoting sustainable agriculture.

We collaborate with low-income families and families of color to advocate for clean drinking water so that they can lead the healthy, thriving lives they deserve.

We provide experiential freshwater and coastal waters education opportunities for youth and families from underrepresented communities to inspire future generations of water stewards.

We advocate for water quality protections along the Central Coast to protect our precious coastal and marine resources.
